The light during disappointing conferences. But we strive for better.

Updated: Oct 17

Last week I attended a science conference in Germany, eager to connect with innovators and find partners from my passion - longevity research. My plan was to network, explore job opportunities and advance my vision for Starlight - futuristic smart mirror with integrated VR and health analyses- to enhance life by waking up each more inspired and bring magic and automation to our homes.

The sessions were inspiring, showcasing innovations like prevented unintended births and saving mothers and children. Yet I struggled to engage with topics beyond longevity and was surprised by the lack of companies offering real-jobs in Germany. Still, I connected with two organisations, providing lab space and funding - one was especially welcoming, fulling my hope for collaboration.

I couldn't find a suitable transport to go to a Rotaract meeting I was set to go so I stayed with the hope to network, a choice that led to mentorships from company guiding Starlight smart home potential and eventually encountering few interesting individuals - some where interested to learn more about the fact that at the same time there was a peace conference in Germany at the time of the life science conference.

Despire these wins, I have focused on finding. acompany that offered funding for innovating high-tech products. Before, I have applied there, but the rejection was real. This time I made the effort to pitch them my product and the good feedback and impression were a real sun switch.

The problem of finidng human connection on all of those events, left me feeling with wanting more of deep humanity. The enthusiasm I have received for my mirror gave me a reminder that humans desire to innovate even if personal bonds are hard.

Leaving the conference, I had not find the jobs or connections I hoped for, but I'd planned seeds for Starlight. This gave me hope that Starlight may bring humanity and technology together for a healthier life multi-planetary.

The story of how I landed in Germany is that here I though I may find people who are really interested in my blog and what I write about and share, and this is also an invitation to you to join and read on Ed-MINE because it represents the Brighter Side of Civilisation and the Universe and we may also be able to solve some of the greatest questions of the universe - what is time, can it be explained? What is beyond and beneath the quantum. What forces bring together and save the the universe from distortions and why we cannot bring those to our human endevours.
