A guest writer and reader is Petya Georgieva. As she introduces herself, Petya is 30 years old and is a German language teacher. She graduated with honors from a two-year training course at the University of Duisburg-Essen in Essen, Germany, as well as the master's program "German Language and Foreign Language Education" with a focus on "Pedagogy of German Language Education" at VTU "St. St. Cyril and Methodius". In 2018, she won first place in Bulgaria in a National Competition organized by the Eureka Foundation with her project—the creation of a school for individual German language training. After receiving this national distinction, she dared to turn this project into a reality. Four years ago, she founded a German language school, www.germanwithpetya.com, with a focus exclusively on individual instruction. She works with a team of qualified teachers. She shares: "What sets us apart is that we apply an innovative teaching methodology and have the experience and skill to identify the needs of the learner and help them find the right path to a systematic acquisition of German language knowledge. We know that every goal can be achieved with the right strategy, discipline, and patience. Our students share that with the help of our lessons, they lead happier and more fulfilling lives because knowing German opens up many opportunities for us—both personally and professionally. I believe in the power of individual instruction and that investing in education is a value. It is freedom, a window to the world, and light."
